"Mama--I SMELL SOMETHIN'"

We went to see Big Momma's House II recently and it occured to me that one of the things that could be valuable about watching a pretty stinky movie is it helps you appreciate the broad range of possibilities when someone picks up a camera to film a movie or picks up a pen to write a movie script.

Did you see this movie on somebody's birthday?

For the record, I would not have suggested going to see this, nor did I see it myself. I even had the sense to stay away from the first one.

Lisa sometimes we need mindless entertainment and a good hour of sleep. I guess you know I'm off to Mexico and will be gone for awhile. However, when I get back I'll run down to the Blockbuster and rent "Mama...." so I can get some good sleep.

You know, Paul Giamatti was in the first one. I wonder if that past through his mind when he lost the Oscar last Sunday to George Clooney. "I worked with Martin Lawrence in a fat suit. Clooney sleeps with a different woman every night! What is fair about any of this! Screw it! Give me a bucket of beer."

a bucket of beer lubricates many painful experiences . . .
